Although readership of EPO and these forums is quite large considering the obscurity of the subject matter, it is insignificant compared to the readership of Good Weekend and The West Australian where your articles were published. If you want to show that your public apology was sincere show us evidence that you have written in a similar vein to these publications. Or you could issue a press release if they won't publish your letters.

If you haven't made the affort to contact these publications, or the wider Australian public who read your article, then I'm sure you can see that it's reasonable to doubt the sincerity of your apology.
