John,

Of course you could have "retired" gracefully, but that is not what you chose to do. I personally wish you had. If you simply wanted to apologize to Maharaji, you could have sent an email via tprf.org or some other vehicle. Instead you made a series of proclamations on an ex-premie forum. Since when is forum8 the official information exchange platform between John MacGregor and Prem Rawat? This apology is then only formalistically addressed to Rawat and in reality is a statement to ex-premies. A statement that implies that anyone who speaks out against Rawat is not accepting personal responsibility. Otherwise known as a kick in the face.

On top of that you refuse to engage in any dialogue publically on the forum and apparently privately as well. Rather you make your proclamations and allow the ex-premies to whom you addressed – people who considered themselves your friends – to speculate on what it all is supposed to mean.

Your actions are egotistic and anything but graceful. You act like a politician making a statement to the press who then walks off waving his hands while muttering "no questions." Rather a bad case of overblown self-importance, wouldn't you say?

Honestly, the only thing that concerned me about your grand statements was basic human compassion about your potential psychological state, which you have now cleared up. As for the rest of it, it doesn't much interest me and that really is something between you and Rawat and your lawyers. Maybe It isn't too late to retire gracefully from a fray that you alone created, but it won't happen by you simply lowering the end of your dump truck on this forum and then driving away.
