I don't believe I've ever seen two more disparate ideas called "agreement."  Ah, but when one learns to tie oneself in knots (some would call it being "flexible"), intellectually speaking, I guess it is all too easy to continue to do so, even after it has gotten you into big trouble in the past.  

See San?  THAT was agreement with a slight difference in syntactical content.  The essence was obviously the same.
