Elisa's English is very good, thanks to her American education. But she suffers badly from Cult-Speak-Syndrome. This happens to members of religious cults. They use words that are entirely empty of any real meaning, like "I connect to the energy..." and "ask for Knowledge."
If you can manage to force one of these people to speak plain old English, then you discover that they are just ordinary people who sometimes feel love and sometimes are happy. But everytime they feel love, they think they are making progress with Knowledge, not knowing that they could very well be feeling the same feelings without it. Like the premie who goes to a museum and gets high on appreciating a beautiful painting and then thinks to himself: "Thank you, Maharaji, for showing me how to have this appreciation."
Either that or they've hooked up with some kind of energizer bunny that I've never met.
