Whenever he was referring to his father, he called him Shri Maharaj Ji. A couple of times I remember "my Guru Maharaj Ji". However, without the "My", "Guru Maharaj Ji" was always his nibs talking about himself. Pretty obvious to anyone - even premies - I would have thought, since that is what we all called him!

Using the third person was a very convenient way of claiming all sorts of Godly qualities without using the obviously egotistical 'I'.
