"One thing is certain, any understanding of Maharaji should be based upon the experience of Knowledge. All else is just a concept."

This is not surprisingly a very typical premie response to an understanding of M and K where concepts have no substance compared to the 'experience'. Does the experience of Knowledge (or any experience)  really operate in such a vacuum devoid of any interpretation and influence of the mind? I don't think so.

'Any understanding of Maharaji' is first and foremost based upon his philosophy (teachings) and of course Maharaji's satsang remains of utmost importance even after receiving Knowledge. It is the satsang of Maharaji that makes sense of the so called experience of Knowledge. The four techniques of meditation in themselves do not enable most practitioners to 'join the dots'.

'Concepts' is a dirty word in the World of Knowledge but our very brief history has shown us that unfortunately there is no getting away from them. Now, who is going to be brave enough to say that since Maharaji has taken over the microphone of satsang  from old fashioned indian mahatmas and every other non-sense spouting premie, the World of Knowledge has been free of concepts? The people who have received Knowledge in the last 10 years may not have the concepts that people have who have recived Knowledge in the 70's but are they really so concept-free?

The 'experience of Knowledge' is a 'process'. It is not an experience like eating a mango or drinking water. It is more like becoming a macrobiotic, 'becoming' being the operative word here. Here essence (design) preceeds existence (experience). What do you think your understanding of Maharaji and Knowledge would amount to if it was based purely on your meditation? One thing is certain: you could then call it your own understanding and draw your own conclusions from it. But Knowledge does not work like that and that is part of the understanding that an aspirant has to have before becoming 'ready'.

Why not accept the fact that every understanding of Maharaji and Knowledge is a mixture of concepts, beliefs and experience. Some would say concepts and beliefs in premies are like 'dark matter' of recent scientific discovery , invisible but covering 3/4 of the universe.
