It all comes down to a matter of belief - that the "God" you've been led to credit your existence to can do whatever he/she wants. Fairness, equality and justice are apparently dispensible in the world of divine super-powers. Divinity is closer to dictatorship than democracy - according to those priests and supplicants who benefit from it. (or so it seems). PS - the last time such a flood occured, it was written up that those who perished deserved their "punishment". Noah & family being the only ones who were worthy to survive. I wonder what the scriptures of 2500 years hence will say.
