Wake up you people !

We're not stupid and you can be very patronising. Do you think I am blind? Do you think I am incapable of making my own judgements ?

I quite enjoyed Doc's post. He was just chatting...He has the right to do that. He wasn't insulting anyone ( like I'm about to do..sorry Doc.!) To me ,much of what he said was immature bordering on infantile  ( and, sorry Doc, ignorant ) but that's O.K. No harm done ( to me anyway .Personally, having lived and worked in Paris myself for 10 years, I can see that he enjoys fantasising ( the French motto is " Metro, Boulot, Dodo" which is slang for " Subway ( Underground Br. Eng.), hard work, sleep " ). As I am not rich..that was more my experience.I had some good times , too and I was a premie then.

Also I wouldn't really wanna put my name to advertising the glories of drugs and pot-smoking on the internet. I've seen too many casualties ( schizophrenia, severe depression etc ) amongst some friends and also teenagers who are not at all rich, or necessarily educated and IMO it can seriously mess their lives up.

Finally I object to Doc's reference to the so-called " church ladies " ( aaargh! I was never one ) from the '70s as it smacks of EV revisionist-speak ( that we are all stuck in the past ,which according to EV never happened  to be honest, although I used it myself once, I don't like the expression "Church Ladies" it's sexist and demeaning especially when used by a "full-blooded", Aussie macho man like Doc.
