I have to confess I have never seen any porn. oh, except when I was 14 at boarding school and a racy book got passed around, no pictures, just text but I still remember it.
I got no interest in it, I think it might gross me out but then I have to say I think some of my stuff is borderline porn, isn't it?
There's the sculpture of David, I don't know if you've ever seen it I have, it's mighty and stands right in the middle of town. It was built with all the bits and then they put a fig leaf over it. and then it was taken off again. and basically it seems like the line between pornography and art is erectness.
well let me tell you, put a lump of clay into the hands of a granny and they don't mess around. The urge is there. young and old. I love bowls. they are simple and beautiful and useful and anyone can just settle in and make one but doesn't mean the thought isn't there, that feeling that comes over a person when you first put some clay in their hands, we all want to model it into the human form the bits we are attracted to come to mind and that feeling is in the bowl. and then we got the bowl and the next thing you're thinking about is decorating it even if it is as simple as smoothing it to an even surface.
