Yeah, it's going to be lions too. Ridiculous, appalling, but unfortunately I don't think online petitions do anything at all.

It’s people like you who have allowed Muslim sex gangs to flourish and exploit and ruin thousands of young, British girls with your cowardly willful blindness. Robert Spencer is a hero. You, on the other hand .....boy, I just shudder to think that I, too, could be so weak
Canada is marching right behind Britain’s parade into submission and we, too, will be tested. We already are and we’re failing miserably. Far too many of us are sheep who refuse to see the writing on the wall. People like you who wirelessly blame anyone who strays off the politically correct reservation. And Ted I hope to hell I have the courage to stand up for the truth rather than hide from it when the time comes.
Anyway, Bill Warner nails your type perfectly. Oh sure, he’s talking about so-called Christians and that’s not you. But it’s a superficial distinction:

This is an excellent recent interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali which has the potential of finally getting through to you. But you’d have to watch it first:
Do you think she’d be allowed to speak in Britain?
Like I said, no time for videos.
Is she talking about elephants or lions?
There was a Muslim gang knocked on my door the other day. They were a pretty scary bunch (and you're right, I'm easily frightened), but all they wanted was for me to sign a form giving them permission to ruin thousands of young girls. I signed right away of course, and returned to my cotton wool padded existence.
I don't waste my time on videos.
Tell me then, oh humourless one, in which way I personally permitted those mostly muslim gangs to abuse large numbers of young girls?

You are the typically smug Brit who allowed it to happen. Indeed, it’s STILL happening. And that’s because your PC institutions are afraid to call a spade a spade and stand up for what’s right. Just as you ignorantly attack Robert Spencer, they, too, attack those who tell the truth. It’s all of a piece.
Smug? That's crazy. I'm heading for the hills, not smug at all. That's all in your mind brother.
They aren't my institutions. Someone else put them there. I vote. I sometimes write to my MP. I've had a few letters published in the past in the papers. What else do you suggest, given that my skills as an orator are not something to be proud of?
What you think is right doesn't fit with what I think is right, but I do occasionally stand up for what I think is right.
I sent you that link to the 15000 scientists and their list of what they regard as existential threats to civilisation, but all you see is frightening muslims. None of those other threats seem significant to you. You're too busy whipping your familiar hobby horse. Not your head in the sand exactly, but it doesn't look like much of a view to me. More like an obsession. Stop berating people who don't share your obsession.

Jim, I know how you can broaden your horizons - emigrate to Australia.
Here you can see our relatively ever so much better Western way of life going down under a wave of Asian migration.
Meanwhile, all over the place, there's all the poisons being used.
It's not just a few people like me having allergic reactions - it's having a huge impact on people's health now. Snowballing with the generations.
And it's not just us, it's all of life on earth.
I appreciate that being directly under the threat of Islamic terrorism or immediately under the threat of Asian feudalism would trump that concern for me as an individual but unless we do something to stem the tide of ever more noxious substances eventually we'll all be too sick to care anyway.

Lesley,
Yes, there are all sorts of problems in life. Acknowledged. Got it. However, do me a favour, please, and watch that Ayaan Hirsi Ali interview and tell me what you think. Is that too much to ask?
okay so I listened to it.
well she's very personable - I think I've seen her interviewed before on the topic of stopping genital mutilation - blowing the whistle on it's practice here where it is illegal and not socially accepted but still goes on behind closed doors.
I agree that the West should feel more proud than ashamed. Put us up against feudalism and it shows how much we've accomplished and I could not agree more with her on that - I disagree with her that because they know how bad it can be the latest waves of immigration are more eager to fight for the preservation of the West - I don't think she is in the majority. And I think she underestimates what Westerners really are like.
I didn't learn anything new other than the timing of the Mayflower to America and Islam at the gates of Vienna.
I am older and don't think like she does any more - her distinction of political Islam and religious Islam was just a line in the sand as far as I'm concerned but I do agree, we all agree we don't want to be under Islamic rule.
I like keeping my head in the sand because the future really does look pretty grim and I'm just hoping to grow some nice vegetables between here and the grave. Cook some nice food, I am harvesting Jaboticaba fruit today and I'm going to use them the same way as to make sloe gin.
I’m honoured. That counts as an honour viewing. Thanks very much. I don’t understand why you disagree with her re political Islam but then maybe you know something about this she doesn’t. Otherwise, thanks again. That’s my world.

Jim, how about starting your own thread to talk about YOUR Favorite topic. It's not fair to snowwhite or others who want to discuss her issue.

Yeah, and sorry I followed down that hole. I should have ignored it and stuck at elephants, and lions that are going to be treated the same way by the same people.

Hello Snow-White,
There aren't words to describe this.
I want to scream and cry at the same time for those poor, innocent animals. And for what? So people can slaughter them and use them as trophies?
It's never a fair fight anyway, given the weapons men use to kill those animals, so I don't know what gets them off killing beautiful creatures.
It's heartless.
On that awful note, I hope you're well Snow-White.

I don't know anything about this stuff but I get the concept of possible conservation benefits. So how do you know this isn't true?
https://www.fws.gov/international/permits/by-activity/sport-hunted-trophies-lions.html#Apply
There aren't many conservationists think it's a good idea.
Here are a few good reasons for that:
https://howtoconserve.org/2015/08/21/trophy-hunting-myths/
Yeah, I get all those arguments. I don't know how best to weigh them against the other side's. I've asked a South African lawyer who's on the case I'm doing now what he thinks for a more familiar take possibly. The one thing that I won't do though, which you seem more than willing to do, is ascribe malicious intent to the Trump admin on this.
But, why is it absolutely no surprise that under the Trump administration these bans on ivory and trophy hunting are being lifted?
It's just par for the Trump golf course. The Trump's are plain old despicable any day of the week under a myriad of circumstances. But, Jim, you just won't go there on this simple issue.
But, hey, these Trump boys are strong and brave. Look at what they can do.

Besides, after Trump's big Tax Reform gives all the rich mofo's more millions they will need to come up with new ways to spend it. What better than an African safari?
One time in the 70's I was hanging with my cousin and we visited this dude who was at his father's summer house on the lake. It was a Saturday night and we were watching Saturday Night Live in the downstairs trophy room where all the African animals were on display in one form or the other.
It really grossed me out. I'll never forget it.

No.
We'll see how this ends. Who knows what the Trumpster will do.
Well, I'm should think Mr Trump's leaving the Paris accord, his America first thing and his tax changing plans are all good intentions of his. But I expect they'll have the same grim results as if he'd done these things maliciously.
The Trump admin people should have consulted more widely. I know a few people who have worked in conservation all their lives, and this conservation by allowing hunting idea died a long time ago. The corruption argument in the link I posted is I think the most pragmatic reason for its demise.

Thank you for your words against this crime against innocent creatures. Human race is a disgrace. I am fine, thank you, life has been good to me. I am one of the privileged in this suffering world, people who have to flee their country, people who suffer from hunger and lack of medical resources, so many without a decent roof above their heads. I thank my luck and try to sympathize with the others who were born to suffer by their fellow men. I hope you are fine too.

Privilege smivilege blah blah blah - what a sad little guilt trip you’re on. But the virtue of a saint! Hahahaha

You just have to slam and humiliate all your forum fools and enemies.
Hahahahahahaha, as you say.

She made a point yesterday of calling me names. What's the difference?

I think she said you were 'pathetic' after HIJACKING her thread on elephants and lions. Under the circumstance, I think she had the right to say something about your behavior.

She suffers from empathy. Look it up.
