I have observed that his pauses are extremely and uncomfortably long. I think it's a bit hypnotic, trance inducing, for those who trust him.
I think there is a trace of being quite pleased with himself in some of them too, there is a trace of something his face I interpet as being quite self satisfied with the oration.
I found the saddest thing on YouTube, a child, obviously a child of premies, imitating him, and he has the intonation down cold, all the premies comment on how wonderful and inspiring the child is. I am not going to link to it as it is a child. Looks about 9...
