sorry, do not think of little children as innocent any more. One little boy I met manipulated and bullied his mother, I mean it was scary - the kiosk had sent them over to me to ask about swimming lessons and she was virtually begging me to take him off her hands for half an hour, and though I was sympathetic to her plight, I was focused on ensuring it was the only half hour I ever had him.
It's hard to describe but before they even spoke, as they walked over to me at the poolside, I got the shivers.
So yes he stands out in my memory, as does the little boy who stood so tall and straight in spirit just whatever he was doing - he was always such a pleasure to have around.
