It sure sounds like your burn should have gone to the emergency department. I am so sorry you went through that.

I agree, I read chronic fatigue and thought exactly the same, the schedules back then were impossible. It's on the list of what cults do, and at least in those days, the premies were chronically exhausted. Not only that, no matter what sort of premie you were, unless you were a psychopath, you probably felt you were doing something wrong, all the time. The householders were second class citizens who were always second in their devotion to ashram premies, the people who did fanatic amounts of service, there were a lot, didn't attend much satsang and probably fell asleep meditating, the ashram premies, there was no way to succeed at ashram life, surrendering to GMJ was like surrendering to the fact you sucked--you were falling asleep meditating, chit chatting, being attracted to a brother or sister premie, or not getting picked to be an initiator. If you were an initiator, you got told plenty you sucked too, I have heard much about the regular mocking they got from their Lord. If you were a residence premie, you were likely keeping secrets that would only not disturb someone with no conscience, but you were also reminded, all the time, how many premies were ready to take your place. It was all set up as a big gaslighting system where the purpose was to surrender your identity and all - "you are my all, my Lord to me"

I wonder how the premies on those tours working all the time sleep or stay awake. Oh wait, they have NDAs we will never know.

What a system.
