Yeah, I lived with Dr Sandy for awhile too. She really helped me out once when I burned my hand badly on a faulty electric kettle (one of those old yellow ones that plugged into the back of the lid). She didn't send me to the Emergency Dept, which she should have done though, she basically just had me keep my hand in a cup of ice for hours. I was tough and didn't complain but I was in a hell of a lot of pain for a long time. I think she might have given me a couple of aspirin or something though. I liked her, but yes, her fad medical profile went through the roof and I was so surprised when I saw that she was using a different name. I just figured she had gotten married or something.

As for the chronic fatigue, I agree that depression was a part of it, but it was also just plain tiredness from sleeping on the floor and working all the hours there were, plus attending satsang every night and doing service on the weekends. I remember being exhausted all the time.

When I look back on those days, I am so surprised at myself. But I was young, so being foolish and gullible went along with being sincere at the time. Nowadays I am probably too much of a cynic, but I feel a lot safer being this way, and a lot less likely to get taken for a ride.
