It’s an affectionate grrrr, as I think you do a lot. But cults hella aren’t over - though some have recently been so outrageous the leaders in prison. The cults of the 1970s were perhaps more outwardly insane- but the core of cult think is alive and as unwell as ever Some recent cult docs This list goes on and on. Plus there is qanon. Also, every single time someone raised in the Prem Rawat cult posts here someone says something like “my kids were just fine” “most never believed it” or something else akin to to I completely agree that the photos of his events in the West are small gray haired crowds with empty seats usually. I think these attempts to get Prem the Nobel Peace prize would be pathetic if they were not getting into actual institutions. Even court systems- summit county Ohio . Also, a handful of kids raised in our cult praying to photos of Prem Rawat have reached out to me. They are universally put off when they post here because someone always says something dismissive. Think about the mind f*** of being raised with parents dragging you from festival to festival or now event to event… your family vacation? A tent in Amaroo. If anyone should be validating their experience it should be us. |
