It has happened multiple times and I am not sure why. They have important stories.

As you probably know, Malibu was never a premie herself nor raised as one. So that is not what I am referring to, to be clear. Much more as you say the experiences of those dragged to festivals etc.

I was thinking, all these things can be true simultaneously. I know most people saw Prem Rawat in the 1970s Maharaji days as a cult leader without any prompting. The few who then still went to satsang came away… nauseated. Those of us who were hooked were a distinct minority ourselves. And most who did “receive Knowledge” drifted away- more of a subset we are that we stayed awhile. Of those who were parents, I don’t dispute that many if not most kids just found Mom and Dad’s guru embarrassing. But there is a subset of kids who rightfully have hard feelings about it all- as you said, love for the guru at one time was Agya to come first. And there is a subset of the kids who actually bought into parents beliefs. Some of them even grew up to play roles within Prem Rawat’s many organizations. There are actually, I think, a rather suprising number of premie kids who have or do work in paid or volunteer positions. My sense is they are highly valued as they reflect the master’s sense of relevance to the next generation in a way he wants like he wants the latest jet or watch or apple product. I would like it if they felt more comfortable among us, as we may not really know the current cult, but we sure as hell can help them put together the world in which they were born.

My comments were not directed at anyone here in particular, and not to Prem Bio who has done so much work to preserve the history - just a sense of frustration that there is a whole story - that doesn’t get told here despite people dipping a virtual toe in now and then and not finding the waters so pleasant.
