Hi Cynthia, In my article i used Bhakti as a general description of the tradition in Hinduïsm in which the devoted love for the guru and a very 'emotional' and ritualistic way of practising their religiion is part of. I use it as a opposite of the socalled Vedanta, more rationalistic movement within Hinduïsm. As I remember most of the philosophical studies about Hinduïsm are written by members of this tradition. Oh yeah, to Andries, you are right, i have written that DLM has not much of a philosophical background. At this moment, i would rephrase that, and would see that in the context of what i have written above. Philosophy isn't a central part of most Bhakti groups.
