"and he is leaving it up to people to realise for themselves who or what he is - rather than be labelled as this or that (in advance of people finding out for themselves through their own experience, which will be different for each individual)." ah yah, and if you have trouble in finding out who he is,there is always little help from a friend to make it sure: "This whole sphere, this whole world of Knowledge and the Master and, practicing, and devotion, and participation and all that— This is traditionally in India is called the path of devotion, bhakti marg. All the Masters came from this. All the Sikh gurus came from this. All the Masters you talked about came from this. It is regarded as the highest path, inclusive of Buddha— Because any time, any time there is a Master, wants to talk about a living thing, boomf. That's where they find themselves. And, amazingly, enough, it is not called the path of enlightenment, and it is not called the path of Knowledge, and it is not called the path of service, and all of those things, inclusive, it is then given the name. And the name is devotion."
This is Sant Mat religion, the lineage of masters. these interferes of course with several other religions , like Buddhism, for example, and shows how shallow the compatibility argumentation really is, but nonetheless if the newborn premie had any doubt in which category he may put his master, here it is. and now please f**k off, i have enough from you as well. toby |
