You have imagined an implication - "He seemed to me to me to be implying that Rawat has helped cure people who suffer from distressing mental conditions" - which clearly is not there.

Sorry Gok. I wasn't thinking clearly. Of course you didn't imply that.  What do you think Rawat was implying though,by saying the following.....

A small quote by Prem Rawat from his talk at Lima, Peru on January 14th 1976 as printed in his magazine "And It Is Divine" Winter, 1976 ~ Volume 3, Issue 4, Page 37.

Prem Rawat... " You go to the doctor to be cured. And the Perfect Master, Guru Maharaj Ji, because he is a doctor of this mind, can cure this mind. That's why he doesn't just come to you and say, Well, you have got a mental problem, or You have got a problem with your mind. No. He also offers you a medicine, a solution. And the solution is this Knowledge, which eventually - and not really eventually but instantaneously - starts affecting you."
