see links in posts above for the Golem refs. But it's interesting to consider that Tolkien might have been influenced in calling his anti-hero by a similiar sounding name. Gollum/Golem? Ultimate possessiveness and greed for power compared with ultimate power? Hmmmm. Verrrry interestink. |
