He said he is just like us, that he stubs his toes and nicks himself shaving sometimes...and you know, has an occasional one-night stand with a groupie-gopi, and has his mistress on the side, and has people working for him who commit heinous acts without being noticed for years which he denies ever knowing about, and substitutes a devotee for himself in a vehicular manslaughter case, and some other everyday things that normal people like you and I go through....such a relatable guy.

Sounds like that lotus got bent somewhere and got dipped in it.  Not my idea of a human example of much to be respected or emulated.  Now if he had said, 'look you guys, I am nothing special and do not accept money or worship, and I am definitely not the Lord, but I have this one thing that I can do that can really help you', I could have been more receptive through the storm that ensued.  But not the way it went down, no way.
