Sheesh, didn't you guys read the Ramayana? Ravan kidnapped Ram's wife Sita, so Ram attacked Ravan's headquarters in Sri Lanka (apparently by bulding a bridge from India). During the ensuing battle, Ravan said to his sidekick that he couldn't lose, as being killed by Ram (who was an incarnation of Vishnu) guaranteed him a place in Heaven. Funny beliefs these guys had.
