Hello Andries,

Actually, I'm not all that bothered about the removal of the Jagdeo part of the article. The nuances of what happened during the time both women were posting on this forum about it are often taken out of context and misunderstood.  During the time these women were posting on the forum regularly, they were also trying to get Rawat to respond to them (through letters, etc.) and that turned out to be frustrating and hurtful to these women.

EV took over handling the situation and they were not honest or moral in how they dealt with both women.  One woman's brother was also abused, so Jagdeo didn't limit himself to girls.  The brother committed suicide.  I know of others but they haven't come forward because they have chosen not to.  I respect that.  There have been reports that Jagdeo abused children in India, too.  Jagdeo is a pedophile.  It's impossible to know how many children he harmed.

One woman still reads and occasionally posts here.  There are still posts in the forum archives (that are kept on EPO) that tell the whole story, but because these posts are in the format of conversations,  it's difficult to get the entire gist of the very bad treatment by EV towards both women, who, btw, posted using their real names.  One of these woman has gone silent and asked that references to her be removed from the main EPO pages. Instead of removing the information she is referred to as "A."  Her entire story about it remains in the forum archives, however.

I believe that Rawat knew about the child abuse long before EV states it was informed.  The instructors who were close to Rawat back then, who were told back in 1977,  now deny ever hearing about it, even though they told the victim they informed Rawat personally. They had a sudden lapse of memory when confronted about it by the woman who was assured he had been informed.

Another reason I believe that Rawat knew about the child abuse much earlier than EV states is because of the testimony of premies who were assigned to be "watchers" of Jagdeo.

I would never ask any victim of child abuse to try to explain this on WikipediaIt's obvious to many of us who were posting online during the time period during which both women were dealing directly with Rawat/EV to try to resolve the complaints, that Rawat knew much earlier than EV now declares.  But when Rawat was first informed is not something that's provable by Wiki standards, because of the recanting by the two instructors, again, who had the sudden lapses of memory about telling Rawat about the abuse in the late 70s.

I believe the survivors of the abuse.

Cynthia
