Hi POV,

Since as of last count I'm one of the posters here whom you are still talking to and because I appreciate that, unlike most premies who post here, you do try to reply to posts addressed to you (if they are not on your "bad list"), I thought I'd give it a go.

I think doctor wow was saying basically the same thing that I was saying in my post above. I don't have any problem at all with people who choose to continue to follow Rawat. In fact, I wouldn't want to talk someone out of it if that is something that they really need in their life. I have known some premies who were very muched helped out of a troubled and self-destructive life through Knowledge and Rawat. Just like I know many people for whom the practice of Knowledge in itself was very self-destructive and negative.

But this forum and EPO serve two purposes. One is to inform people about the "other side" of Rawat and his teachings. The other is to offer support for people who choose to leave Rawat. That decision, just like receiving knowledge in the first place, can only be made by each person for themselves. It can't be forced on anyone.

So yes it is true that the focus here is on the negative side of things. If people want to learn about all the positive things Rawat has done they can simply go to tprf.org. There they can read about how Rawat spoke at the UN and how he is a world leader for peace. Or they can go to the EV websites to hear how Rawat is like Gandhi, MLK and Mother Theresa. Or they can go to enjoying life to read about how grateful his followers are to him.

Those websites are doing a fine job by themselves. They don't need our help. And to expect that here is outlandish. It would be like expecting to find recipes on the latest trendy cocktail mixes on a website for recovering alcoholics. And I might add that at least EPO links to tprf.org and enjoying life. They certainly don't link to EPO. Why not?

But you seem to think that we have no right to report anything negative about Rawat? Why is that? Don't people have the right to make informed decisions on their own?

To answer your question: I accept gifts gladly from friends. I'm sceptical about things that are called "gifts" but where alot is expected from you in return. Like the "free lottery ticket" where you have to buy ten magazine subscriptions in return for it. Or like the "free knowledge" where I have to devote my whole life to the giver.

Imagine someone giving you a bicycle for your birthday. Your really happy about that. But then you find out that the person who gave it to you thinks that you should be so grateful for that gift that you have to ride around all day doing errands for them with it. That's a pretty crappy gift. In fact it isn't a gift at all, it's a trojan horse.
