I was never suckered by Prem Rat, but in the course of 'investigations' got well-in with one or two other dodgy groups, (inc Landmark Forum -yerk!!) before I woke up. Yup, it hurts when awakeing to the reality outside of the con-artists, but hang on there... And don't feel tempted to go back for another round of self abuse!!!
Self confidence, self respect and self *empathy* are the tools to get you strong, ~ and out of their clutches.
You don't have to be an ego-nut (like many 'gurus'!) to afford yourself those attributes. And God knows only too well that you have to be YOU, - really you -, before you can be a better part of Him, so don't believe you have to rub (or rubbish!) yourself at the feet of a crazed lunatic to get into heaven! It ain't true darling!
