I've obviously missed something here.  What exactly is the problem with a blind person criticizing a painting?  Is it that they are blind so consequently have no powers of ideation.  What the hell does reporter think he/she is doing when criticizing a painting?  using his/her superhuman powers perhaps?  as imparted by that renowned artist and critic, the Lord of the Universe?
