The problem for you is that it isn't really all that "perfect" at all, is it?

Be honest: knowledge sometimes delivers something satisfying, but often is completely dud. It's unreliable. It doesn't really deliver peace.

Of course, when it doesn't work, you blame yourself.

You'd rather blame yourself than admit knowledge is considerably less than perfect. You'd rather play word games with definitions of "perfect" than admit it. You'll do anything to maintain your belief system.

Carry on, reporter. You're determined to kid yourself. No one here is fooled.
