...and very sincere too.

"Thinking back to when you were totally and completely in the cult, is there anything that some one could have said to cause you to think about rawat in an open and honest way? Was there any way for a loved one to get through the cult-think to the essence of you? "

No.

Here's an idea. Just love him with all his afflictions.Enjoy the good times with him.Have a mutual agreement not to discuss the matter and only to mention it for practical reasons ( such as telling you when he goes off to a programme or whatever ).Stop concerning yourself overly with his relationship with his guru and focussing on it too much....maybe even stop reading here if you find it increases your sense of  frustration. Get on with your own life and concentrate on that.

You never know that might just do it !

Leave a couple of anti-cult books on the bookshelf  ( Hassan or Singer or suchlike ) and get out and enjoy yourself. You won't save him and neither will Rawat. He can only save himself.

If it gets too lonely ,divorce him and find someone else.

Agony Aunt Lexy x

P.S. Don't allow him to put Rawat pictures up in your house or an altar in your bedroom and insist he meditates and watches those wretched ,brainwashy videos in private and out of your ear shot.
