You are right.  He has NEVER giving anything from his pockets.  Even the eyeglasses he brought for the Indian mahatma were bought with devotees donations.

Also note, his organization NEVER gave any kind of donation  until the days we began pointing out to it in our forum.  He saw it would make him look good and went for it.  He donate rice. LOL

When I had made up my mind I was already a ex-premie I contacted M with an e-mail asking for help, pointing to how many years of my life I dedicated my slaving, traveled, bought "tons" of $40 dollars videos to propagate his work, etc.  Ira Woods sent me an e-mail saying that he couldn't answer me by e-mail  - no need for paper trail - but that he could call me.  I started all AS A JOKE.  I was in those days very angry for him lying to us for decades.  I knew what the answer would be.... He said to me, "Maharaji does not help financially to any cause, his job is to spread a message."   Duh!  I needed Woods to tell me.

Rawat has since 1972 milked the public and all he did with the money was buy more and more expensive "tools of propagation".  His organization has giving $180.000, oh, WOW.

It would be interesting to find the forum posts and compare their dates and Elan Vital's , announcing maharaji had donated some rice.... just to call us LIARS because - I believe was Will - the forum brought up the fact that Maharaji is a greedy, selfish, self-serving, ugly, disgusting "thing", sorry, I meant to say BEING.
