Divine Form, termed by Plato.

Entelechy is the potentiality of the universe that becomes manifested in form as it evolves to its highest potential.

For instance, color is a potential of the universe.  All colors are contained in pure light.  The various physical expressions evolve (the eye, individual consciousness) creating a living awareness of color.  Whatever might be the actual process of evolution (mutation? design?) nothing evolves that is not inherently potential.  This we can agree on (because it is now obvious since it has happened and here we are).

What we cannot agree on is religion, because religion as we know it today anthropomorphizes the universe (God), and this is a hugh mistake. We pay dearly for this mistake. Not only do human beings engage in war, killing their own; they engage in civil war, killing their closest own.  This is not God.  This is ignorance.

Intelligent design is the latest term.  It is an unfortunate term.  It goes too far.  We have not yet determine the methodology of evolution.  The argument between the Darwinists and the Designists is premature and unresolveable at this time.

I am afraid at this point all we can say is what is obvious to us - here we are.  And that is remarkable, a cause for celebration.  The arrangement of molecules into hydrogen and all along down the elements into human life is the work of the universe, however it happens.  I myself am a temporary arrangement of all those molecules, enormously harmonized in such a way as to ward off chaos and disintegration long enough to notice myself and say "hi."
