I think that in a way, London is not only British, but belongs to the world. What you do to London, in a way you do to us all. Maybe along the lines of small planet, one ecosystem.

Can we all try very hard to use less petrol, and tell everybody we know to use less petrol? Please?

I figure if we reduce our oil dependancy locally, globally we can reduce some of the current spate of war and terrorism.
