Thanks Marianne.  I'm a Brit although I've been living in the States for a number of years.  I still have family in the UK (some relatives in London).  All are OK.so I'm very thankful.  But yes, this shook me to the core.  I've always had a special connection with London.  But it isn't just about London, or 9/11--it's far bigger than that as we all know.  Wish these cowards could be tracked down and stopped!
