I agree entirely which is why I said that he acted in good faith and that I hold no grudges.

However, I don't think the judge(s) took into account any of John's personal situation in any of the legal cases, they just weren't relevant. I really don't think this has set a precedent because the circumstances were so unusual and John was a freelance writer and his actions so naive and his defense so obtuse and irrelevant.

Apart from defending myself from the paranoid claims of conspiracy I have also posted on this topic because it seemed to me that a myth of Elan Vital crushing an ex-premie who had the courage to stand up and have information on Elan Vital and Prem Rawat published in the mainstream media with their overpowering wealth and legal muscle had developed on this Forum.

I think that John was certainly crushed but only because he acted in such a maladroit fashion. This was a one-off and had he acted correctly it would have just been another cult black-eye.
