Unlike you, I don't find John's "apology" inexplicable. Not at all. He recently left the cult. He actually did something huge to expose the cult. You have been supporting and defending them. You say you left 25 years ago. That's a huge difference, compared to John's relatively recent exiting.
I too take umbrage with your homophobic remark to Joe. I see a growing tendency here to call people "paranoid" or make remarks like you did, followed or preceded by a "smiley face." I guess it's alright to denigrate anyone's race, sexual orientation, mental status or anything else as longs as we include a "smiley face." Maybe that should go in the forum rules.
P.S. Many people know who PatD is. Certainly the cult does. He has posted his full name and the city he lives in many times.
