Yes, understanding the idiosyncrasies and peculiar circumstances that made one vulnerable to a scam can help one deal with the pain of coming to one's senses. If posters want to talk about their own experience of how they were scammed, that may well help others understand what happened to them too, and that's a Good Thing.

But, people fell -- and still fall -- victim to the cult for a wide range of reasons, including just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's no different from any other scam or violation in that respect. I think it's important to be really clear about that.
