It's ok to talk about that, RJ.  You've become aware of the proliferation of cults and you understand that the simple come-on promise leads to more and more and deeper and deeper and stranger and stranger.

No doubt, most people just ignore those leaflets and categorize them as the same as a pizza delivery thing.

I remember running into $cientologists in San Francisco on Market Street one Saturday afternoon.  They had the table and the brochures and the E-Meters.  I let the women who obviously had the most time in the cult and the most experience give me the E-Meter test.  Well, it's funny the way they establish a baseline for the E-Meter (you hold these two little tin cans with wires that go into the meter that measure your galvanic skin response - sweat) is you hold an E-Meter in each hand and the person pinches you on the tender part of your wrist.

Well, there's two problems with that.  First, I have a real high threshold for pain.  Second, the lady saw that I was a smart guy.  So, she pinched me until I bled.  I kid you not.  I was bleeding.  Ok, that's the baseline.  And if they can ask you questions that seek to make you nervous or probe you.  And they ask you questions right off the bat that are very personal.  So, from that point on she had her fun with me.  And I think the reality is that the higher your baseline is the more difficult it is for you on the simple questions.

Let's just say that I didn't pursue it, but I could tell it was really evil.
