Hi Andries,Rawat does not make clear claims about himself in public but in private or in front of his followers it's a different story. Read the transcripts of his "Training Sessions" of a few years ago. His followers don't come to their own conclusions. They learn from the more long term followers on whom they model themselves (I don't mean necessarily consciously) what the correct attitudes and beliefs are. Those who find these beliefs unnacceptable as they are gradually taught them leave, either before or after "initiation".
Certainly not all NRM "scholars" are untrustworthy but, like yourself, many seem to think these groups can be classified simply and easily. If all I knew of Rawatism was what I had read of their publicity I would think it was a totally different organisation than the reality.
