As it does to anyone you could try to explain it to honestly. This is why premies have to lie to propagate. It's all very sad.

Look, Jon, there is no such thing as a 'Master' as you believe. There is no such thing as a 'Master/student' relationship as you believe. Sure, there are people who have mastered a subject who can teach others, but if they are competent masters, then a significant proportion of their students will become masters. Tell me one student of Maharaji's who has graduated, or is even 90% there. No, in your belief system, all the students are tiny specks of dust, and if the master closed the door then they would be lost.

Jon, it's a sick belief system, and I do wish you healing from this sickness.
