It really does make a difference because the spin and revisionism that EV now places on this issue is that Rawat never was referring to himself when he was saying all that crap to us about surrendering, devoting, etc. everything to "Guru Maharaj Ji" the "savior" or "Lord."  That's why it's an important distinction to be made.  It was always obvious to every premie I knew that Rawat was referring to himself and when he was referring to his father, he prefaced it with something like, "my Guru Maharaj Ji," or "Shri Maharaji said..." or "My Perfect Master."  Unfortunately, I was one of those premies who never did fall asleep during his satsangs and did listen to his every word!  LOL!

Also, when I mentioned DECA in my post above to "Check," it was still very early in the morning here and I forgot to mention my main point (was having my first cup of coffee) which is that the heavy devotional "Catholic Period" (as Joe often puts it) was happening during the DECA project which started taking off right after that satsang was published in Feb., 1979.  Everybody was breaking their backs during that time -- community, ashram, and DECA premies alike, to provide huge amounts of cash money and labor for the Lord Savior Rawat's special airplane project in south Florida.
