Yes, dreams that people have of events that come true are "astounding coincidences", to say the least. But I don't think writing them off as statistical certainties fully explains the phenomena. That's guesswork. For one thing, who really knows how many people dream, say, of a friend they haven't seen in years only to have the phone ring and, voila, it's that very friend? I'm just not convinced that statistical probabilities explains such a phenomena. It's an intelligent guess that it does, but that's still all it really is, a guess. Nothing to close the book on.
