I left in 1983, and so I missed the change-over from "satsang, service and meditation" to "meditate an hour a day and keep in touch."
When I was a premie, it was Maharaji's agya, or his direction to do both satsang and service, as well as meditation, or you didn't get the experience of knowledge.
He also said that you should meditate 24 hours a day, or at least try to do that.
When that changed, did Rawat ever explain what all that was about? I say this because many people, including me, when through a lot of pain and made lots of personal sacrifices to try to do those things. I remember feeling a bit outraged that maybe none of that was really necessary after all, even to have the "experience of knowledge" (whatever that is).
Actually, I feel somewhat the same way about the ashrams, but that is another story.
Did you ever hear any explanation from Rawat, or from anyone, and did you hear about any premies who asked questions like that?
Thanks.
