Bona Fide Spirituality?

Kinda hate to say it so rudely, but BFS doesn't exist.

The only bona-fide thing we can do is live our life in the realm that we find ourselves in.  Anytime we try to live according to what may or may not lie beyond this realm we get ourselves into dangerous territory.  Go ahead and think about the spirit and the meaning of life, go ahead and try to explore the inner realms, go ahead and try to travel out of the body, go ahead and read hundreds of books, go ahead and listen to supposed experts, go ahead and take mind-altering drugs, go ahead and figure out a religious or spiritual philosophy, go ahead and join a group of like-minded people.  And then when none of that works out, as it inevitably will, then live your life here and now in the physical, limited realm that we presently find ourselves in for this short span of time.

Maybe it's a little more pleasant to think of it this way: if there is unlimited, spiritual consciousness, then it probably created the limited consciousness for its own reason and all the answers we require are right here as well.  But that is still an if.  Being happy doesn't require an escape from our human condition, and trying to escape that condition doesn't bring happiness.  Every feeling and every experience that people identify as spritual is really already inherent in us and available to us.  To search for something we don't already have is folly.  Actually, it's quite nice to throw it all out the window, including the baby.  That baby screamed all the time anyway.

Now, what's for lunch?
