Sure, it is sickening, but it's not surprising in the least because that's exactly what those perverts do and how they do it.  It's not surprising that Jagdeo made his way into the one place where the children would be and that was the school.  It's typical, almost predictable (in hindsight).

It's also not surprising that everyone respected and trusted Jagdeo to care for their kids, never, ever thinking that he would be hurting their kids. Who would ever imagine that to be possible?  No one ever wants to think that such a thing is possible, but it does happen.  That makes Jagdeo's betrayal even worse, and beyond that, Prem Rawat's cover up of it is the ultimate betrayal to those innocent children and their parents.   First Jagdeo, and then Prem Rawat placed themselves and their "needs" before the welfare of little children.  It's inexcusable.

Even though these things always are a great shock when they come to light, the plain fact is, that's exactly what pedophiles do every day of the week.  That's why it's up to every adult --parent or not -- to make it your business to be informed about the issue so if a child you know ever shows signs of needing help, you are able to give them the help and the protection they need and deserve.
