Hi Hussain,

Like Nik said, the bottom line is Maharaji is really a materialist who kind of pretends to be spiritual, and through a kind of trial and error (mostly error), he uses his father's mission, Hindu mythology, scripture, and anything else that he thinks might appeal to his core group of followers to keep his material gains preserved.  He uses those things only with  current members, and tries to suggest to the public that he doesn't.  That's why there is such paranoid "security" to get into a pwk-only event with Rawat.

So, while Elan Vital was claiming that "all things Hindu" had been removed from Rawat's mission, a few years ago he put up a website with pictures of "past Perfect Masters" (all Indian) implying that he comes from that lineage to try to give himself some legitimacy.  When that didn't work, and when it obviously contradicted his campaign to say he is non-religious and  non-spiritual, he dropped that.

So, Prem Rawat plays his con game in which he tries to evoke enough of the spiritual/Hindu stuff to keep his core group of followers interested (he still does the feet-kissing ceremony called "darshan" and still tells Hindu parables), but then for mass consumption, he says he is just a motivational speaker, and now apparently that the 4 meditation techniques are not even meditation.  So, as you can see, he is a multiple personality when it comes to who or what, he is.

This causes lots of problems for his followers when they try to propagate, because they haven't a clue how to present him.  Which Prem Rawat do they present?

This is why propagation never happens and why hell will freeze over before Rawat ever comes to Baltimore.
