Good that you've found Forum 8 useful - I trust that you have followed the links at the top of the page to the ex premie.org website and also to Mike Finch's writings about Prem Rawat.
Rawat was never a scholar and though he occasionally quotes from the Bhagavad Gita this should not be taken as evidence of any understanding on his part - be that cultural, litterary or spiritual. Rawat is and always was a mere performer and if any of his followers ever did attain some understanding - it was through their own efforts and nothing that Rawat had to offer.
It is of course up to you whether you consider Rawat a false Guru and that there other teachers who can provide a path to enlightenment - I would urge you however to consider that Guruism is a false path and that no matter how profound ancient texts such as the Gita and Vedas are, the magical thinking offered by the self defined 'spiritual' leader invariably leads to a distortion of the essence of what it is to be human.
