I'm just posing the hypothetical question: could Rawat have done it on his own, like his father and the rest of the previously named hoodlums. I think not. That is also at least one reason why there is a difference in "substance" difference between Rawat and the others. It is a weird thing to discuss of course, the qualities that go into making a successful destructive cult leader, but it is part of the whole package.
Let's put it another way. Rawat's personality was very much shaped by the way he was raised and he has alot of the traits of decadent rich children of self-made people. Had he not been the son of a cult leader, he would have had a completely different character. Maybe he would have had what it takes to start his own cult. Or maybe he would have been a bus driver. In any case that would have been a whole different story.
I find it difficult to imagine Rawat standing in a park speaking, just like that and without the hype, and having the power to attract followers.
