The way that Knowledge is presented to new people is one of the major concerns of many ex-premies.  I believe that there has long been a dishonesty in the way that Elan Vital presents the role of the Master.  But in talking about the Keys, Rawat has mentioned that the role of the Master will one of the topics.  This topic will be one of the most interesting parts of the Keys.  What Rawat offers is not just a way to feel inner peace but also a life-long commitment to him.  He continually stresses that people who practice Knowledge remain always aspirants and there is a need for them to keep in touch with him as their teacher.  What Rawat has said about this issue in the past remains important, of course, but more important is what he has to say now about it.   My own opinion is that Rawat distorts the philosophy and the potential of inner peace by insisting on his own importance in the equation.  In fact, his importance is so overblown that it makes his product, or his "offer," unseemly to most people, and rightly so.   Rawat's Knowledge will always be for the select few who are in need of an authority figure and who happen to like Rawat's style.   I don't anticipate that the role of the Master will be a part of Key #1.
