Hello George,

So why should we ‘move on’ – and where did that imperative come from? Perhaps more significantly, why are we still obeying?

That's a very good question.  Great analysis, too

I've been thinking about this edict by the cult to "just move on."  The message is clear, that's for sure:  the "best" ex-premie is a silent one.  Of course, no one who leaves a cult has to do it in public and shouldn't if it makes them feel uncomforable or bad, but the nature of cultic involvement is secrecy, therefore, it's telling that that's what our cult wants us to do:  be quiet and keep those secrets.  Or else.

I spent a large portion of my life in, I'm going to spend the rest of my life how I please now.  If Rawat doesn't like that, well tough.  I certainly don't owe him any favors.

I think that a huge reason that premies remain anonymous is because they have seen what happens to those of us who are not anonymous.  Rawat is a great fear-monger. Fear of not being allowed in future programs is also a factor I'm sure.  And if they aren't sure what might happen if they use their names on this forum, well, all they have to do is read EV's FAQs.
