In the Gospel of Ramakrishna, the unabridged edition, in the chapter where Ramakrishna first showed symptoms of the throat cancer which eventually killed him (near page 837, I believe), he says that he will have to be reborn one more time within a hundred years, in a northwestern direction. I saw another Vedanta book with the same quote recounted from some student of his but the figure 200 years was used.He was speaking near Calcutta in 1880 or so and Dehra Dun is 200 miles northwest from Calcutta. I always found that interesting. But how does one tell if M was Vivekananda or Ramakrishna in a previous lifetime? It can only remain speculation. But M does look similar to Vivekananda.
