Most Hindu's would consider it very 'ungodly' to disrespect one's mother - the issue of Mata Ji not being Rawat's 'real' mother provides a double excuse for his behaviour toward her. Not only would Rawat not have a genetically mediated obligation to Mata Ji - but more importantly she would not have the status of being the mother of the Guru.

Saying Mata Ji was not Rawat's mother is a way of questioning her legitimacy to have given direction to Prem. It's sick but what else could be expected. One consequence of this 'not his real mother' proposition is that the logical position arrived at,  is one in which the abusive Jagdeo,  as a Mahatma appointed by Hans Ji had more legitimacy in directing the young Rawat than did Mata Ji or her sons.
